چکیده

ABSTRACT We provide line luminosities and spectroscopic templates of prominent optical emission lines 133 Galactic Wolf–Rayet (WR) stars by exploiting Gaia DR3 parallaxes spectrophotometry, comparisons with 112 counterparts in the Magellanic Clouds. Average broad blue (He ii λ4686, C iii λλ4647,51, N λλ4634,41, v λλ4603,20) yellow (C iv λλ5801,12) features for WN, WN/C, WC, WO have application characterizing WR populations star-forming regions distant, unresolved galaxies. Early-type WN reveal lower more metal-poor environments, but situation is less clear late-type stars. LMC WC4–5 are higher than their Milky Way counterparts, Cloud highlight other lines, λλ3478,85 WN/C stars, O λλ3403,13 WC vi λλ3811,34 apply our calibrations to representative metal-rich galaxies, IC 4870 NGC 3049, respectively, spectral also applied based on a realistic mix subtypes. Finally, global λλ5801,12 Large Clouds or LMCs (Small Clouds) 2.6 × 1038 erg s−1 (9 1036 s−1) 8.8 1037 (4 s−1), cumulative luminosity estimated be an order magnitude LMC.

Galactic C and S Stars as Guidelines for Magellanic Cloud AGB Stars

The study of the evolutionary properties of Asymptotic Giant Branch stars still presents unresolved topics. Progress in the theoretical understanding of their evolution is hampered by the difficulty to empirically explain key physical parameters like their luminosity, mass loss rate and chemical abundances. We are performing an analysis of Galactic AGB stars trying to find constraints for these...

Chemical abundances from Magellanic cloud B stars

In recent years, B stars have been established as reliable tracers of present day abundance patterns. They yield an independent set of abundances from He to Fe which can be cross-checked against other sources such as H ii regions and cool supergiants. In this paper, we present purely spectroscopic analyses of 9 non-supergiant B stars (13 < mV < 15), 5 of which located in the young populous clus...

Morphology and Evolution of Galactic and Magellanic Cloud Planetary Nebulae

Planetary nebulae (PNe) exist in a range of different morphologies, from very simple and symmetric round shells, to elliptical, bipolar, and even quadrupolar shapes. They present extremely complex ensembles of filaments, knots, ansae, and shell multiplicity. It is then overwhelmingly complicated to derive reasonable evolutionary paths to justify the observed shapes of PNe. The confrontation bet...

The ellipticities of Galactic and Large Magellanic Cloud globular clusters

The correlations between the ellipticity and the age and mass of LMC globular clusters are examined, and both are found to be weak. It is concluded that neither of these properties is mainly responsible for the observed differences in the LMC and Galactic globular cluster ellipticity distributions. Most importantly, age cannot be the primary factor in the LMCGalaxy ellipticity differences, even...

Contribution of the Large Magellanic Cloud to the Galactic Warp

Multi-scale interaction between the LMC, the Galactic halo, and the disk is examined with N-body simulations, and precise amplitudes of the Galactic warp excitation are obtained. The Galactic models are constructed most realistically to satisfy available observational constraints on the local circular velocity, the mass, surface density and thickness of the disk, the mass and size of the bulge,...
